Mobile Search Is Critical For Local Small Business

To emphasize the importance of having a responsive website, Google research has shown that searches on a mobile device by consumers in a local area, with local intent, are more likely to lead to a store visits and a sale within a day.

This latest Google research shows that 50 percent of mobile users are most likely to visit after conducting a local search, while 34 percent of consumers searching locally with local intent on a tablet or computers will go to a store.

And Google research shows that these people are ready to buy once they are in a store, as 18% of local searches lead to a sale, compared to 7 percent for non-local searches.
